After School Clubs

School Clubs

After school clubs run from the end of school until 4.30pm.
Costs remain at £20 for the term (or £2.50 a week on an ad-hoc weekly basis when this is available).

Monday

Science Club
Who can come? Years 2, 3,4,5,6
Who teaches it?External provider
What happens? This is a chance to spend the evening finding out how much fun science can be!. Bring a spare set of rough clothes to change into before the club as it can get a bit messy (hurray!). The company running these activities provide the equipment and materials for the hands on experiments each week.

Tuesday

Electronics Club
Who can come?Years 3,4,5 or 6
Who teaches it?Mr Evans
What happens?A club for all you budding young electronics engineers! Each week you will be presented with an electronics problem to solve with the equipment to succeed provided. Could you make your own remote control? How about a sensing burglar alarm?
Places are limited to eight in this club to ensure everyone has alll the pieces that they need and (for the same reason) there would be no partial week / ad hoc membership.
Youth Club
Who can come?Anyone!
Who teaches it? Miss Leith and Mrs Cole
What happens? This is a club where the range of activities is as wide as you can imagine. Do you want to play pool or table tennis, get into a computer game or even take part in a fun board game? When the weather is decent we'll also be providing field or playground equipment for you tio use. It's a great club to be with your friends and relax at the end of the day.
Library
Who can come? Anyone!
Who teaches it? Mr Walsh
What happens? Not really a club - this is an open session for parents and children to share our library. Although every child has their own library card, we do have the facility to find their numbers and 'log out' books without them. Our book range is vast and they are all available to pupils at the school as well as preschool siblings (there's nothing better than a different bedtime story each week!). Children are able to take and bring library books (usually 2 at a time)in this session and within their own class sessions elsewhere in the week. Our library stock is also available to search and browse online here.

Wednesday

Hockey Club
Who can come? 3,4,5 or 6
Who teaches it? Mr Evans
What happens? Hockey training for each year group. We also arrange matches against other local schools on a regular basis to give our players some experience against teams that they have not faced before.
ICT Club
Who can come? Anyone!
Who teaches it? Mr. Ray
What happens?Come and join Mr Ray in the computer suite for a whole hour of computer gaming. We have a range of supervised internet sites that can be used as well as a number of games added to our local network.

Thursday

Football Club
Who can come? Years 2,3,4,5 or 6

Art & Craft Club
Who can come? Year 1 to 6
Who teaches it?Miss Green and Mr Ray
What happens? If you like creating art and craft projects, this is the club for you! Every Thursday night we try out a different art project from making models through to finger painting. It can get messy so please bring a painting shirt to keep your school uniform clean.

Friday

Cinema Club
Mr Walsh and Mrs Lee
Cinema club costs 2.50 and includes a snack and drink in the school hall (cash & cheques payable to Eastling Primary school).
Reception and Year 1 children may attend but must initially be supervised by a parent. Parents are welcome to watch the film free of charge.
Parents are invited to come and join us for the end of the film (always 5:10pm) by slipping in through the side hall door (nearest to the field) ... but beware of our vertical blinds that could become a trip hazard
